The Israeli occupation police on Thursday evening kidnaped Sheikh Najeh Bukairat, deputy head of the Islamic Awqaf Authority in Jerusalem, from a hotel during his participation in a cultural event.
According to local sources, police forces stormed Addar Hotel in Occupied Jerusalem and rounded up Sheikh Bukairat and another one called Aziz al-Asa, who works for the Employees Club in Jerusalem.
The police also detained all the participants in the event for a while, checked their IDs and handed some of them summonses ordering them to go to a police station for interrogation next Sunday.

The police also put up notices on walls in Arabic and Hebrew, banning the holding of the event on allegations that it was staged by Hamas.
