The Israeli occupation forces (PIC) on Wednesday evening kidnaped a Palestinian young man at a military checkpoint in the south of Nablus.

According to local sources, the IOF kidnaped a young man called Mohamed Baddad, a resident of Jaba town in Jenin, as he was trying to cross the Za’atara military checkpoint in southern Nablus.

Israel uses hundreds of checkpoints and roadblocks in the West Bank to restrict the movement of Palestinians on their own land and to carry out arbitrary arrests.

Journeys of short distances can stretch into hours when Palestinians are detained at checkpoints or forced to circumnavigate roadblocks or closed checkpoints.
