The international criminal court in the Hague is considering opening a criminal investigation against Israeli soldiers, officers and leaders in response to a number of lawsuits against them for committing war crimes during the attack on the Gaza Strip in 2014.
In a letter to Hemaya center for human rights, the center said” the international criminal court in the Hague has sent us a notice that it will consider the communication sent from the center in which it asked for opining a criminal investigation against the leaders of the Israeli occupation under the latest communication submitted by the center on the fifth anniversary of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
The center confirmed that the office of the ICC prosecutor dealt with the Absent Justice report as a communication. It indicated that the office of the prosecutor would consider the communication the center has submitted in accordance with the principles of the Rome Statute of the international criminal court.
