The Israeli occupation police on Sunday evening brutally assaulted a Palestinian young man in Issawiya district during an attempt to forcibly enter his home.
Local official Mohamed Abul-Hems said that police forces violently attacked 26-year-old Fadi Obeid after he refused to allow them to enter his home in Obeid neighborhood in Issawiya in order to use the rooftop as a post to watch and target local youths.
Abul-Hems added that the police forces fired a stun grenade at Obeid inside his house, sprayed him with pepper and physically assaulted him before rounding him up.
Meanwhile, violent clashes broke out in Issawiya between local young men and police forces after the latter stormed its neighborhoods.
Eyewitnesses said that the police blocked the main street in Obeid neighborhood with their vehicles and intensively fired tear gas and stun grenades at angry young men.
They added that the police arrested a young man called Mohamed Obeid as he was standing outside his house during the events.
