A lawyer from the Commission of Detainees’ and Ex-Detainees’ Affairs was able to visit on Tuesday prisoners Islam Wishahi and Uday Salem, who suffered injuries after they allegedly stabbed Israeli soldiers during the recent events of the Negev jail.
Lawyer Kareem Ajwa said that prisoners Wishahi and Uday still complain of severe pains as a result of their exposure to brutal beatings by Israeli forces.
In addition to the presence of eight stitches in his forehead, Wishahi suffers from fractures in his nose and chest, bruised and bloodshot eyes, and bruises in his back and legs, according to the lawyer.
Recently, the administration of the Negev jail held an internal trial for Wishahi and decided to isolate him for 14 days, and deprive him of seeing his family and selling things from the prison commissary for eight months.
As for prisoner Salem, he suffers from bruises in his head and below his eyes and injuries in his forehead.
He is also isolated for two weeks and deprived of seeing his family and selling things from the prison commissary for six months. There is a financial penalty amounting to 564 shekels imposed on him.
