Several dozens of Israeli Jewish settlers, who invaded tomb of Palestinian Muslim Imam in the northern West Bank village of Awarta on Sunday, threw stones at Palestinian homes and vehicles.
The violence made by the Israeli Jewish settlers, eyewitnesses said, caused much material damage in the Palestinian property. No casualties were reported in the incident.
Jewish settlers continued hurling stones at the Palestinians until the Israeli occupation forces intervened and stopped the aggressive attack.
Israeli Jewish settlers raid this Palestinian village weekly, claiming that the tomb of the Palestinian Muslim Imam is a tomb of a Jewish rabbi. They do not have any proof.
The eyewitnesses also said that the Israeli Jewish settlers desecrated the Palestinian cemetery, which the tomb belongs to.
Footage shared widely on social media showing the Israeli Jewish settlers walking aimlessly on top of tombstones in the village’s burial ground.
