Palestinian youth on Saturday morning succumbed to his wounds sustained during violent Israeli forces crackdown on protesters along Gaza Strip borders last week.
Sherif al-Abd Shalash, 28, was injured last Sunday during rallies denouncing US President Donald Trump's decision to recognise Jerusalem as Israel's capital.
"He died of his wounds on Saturday," Spokesman of the Palestinian Ministry of Health Ashraf al-Qidra said.
On Friday, the Israeli occupation forces killed two Palestinians and wounded 689 others in the West Bank and Gaza Strip as parts of protests against Trump’s decision.
Trump officially recognised Jerusalem as Israel’s capital on 6 December despite worldwide opposition. The decision has sparked angry demonstrations across the Muslim world.
Last week, the US vetoes a UN Security Council draft bill denouncing Trump’s move on Jerusalem.
On Thursday, the UN General Assembly overwhelmingly passed a resolution against Trump's Jerusalem decision by a vote of 128-9.
