Israeli occupation forces kidnapped in March 509 Palestinians, including 75 children, two girls, 11 women, six MPs and one minister, rights groups said on Sunday.
A report issued by the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS), the Palestinian Committee of Prisoners’ Affairs, Al-Mezan Centre for Human Rights and Addameer said that most of the Palestinians were kidnapped during night raids of their homes.
The report said that 160 Palestinians were kidnapped from occupied East Jerusalem, while 338 were kidnapped from the occupied West Bank and 11 were kidnapped from the besieged Gaza Strip.
In addition, the report noted that 111 of the Palestinians, who were kidnapped by the Israeli occupation forces, are currently being held under administrative detention.
A report issued on Thursday by the Palestinian Prisoners’ Centre for Studies estimated that Israeli occupation had kidnapped some 1,360 Palestinians in the first three months of 2017.
The rights groups accused the Israeli occupation of carrying out “systematic violations of international law” regarding the kidnapping and detention circumstances of the Palestinians.
Hence, they urged the international community to “take effective measures to get the occupation state of Israel to respect the international law regarding human rights.”
