As summer is at doors, Israeli occupation authorities prevented on Monday entry of swimming suits to the Gaza Strip.
Israeli media reported Israeli defence ministry’s Crossing Authority, working with the Israeli Shin Bet security service, found some 30 professional-grade scuba suits inside a shipment of sporting wear that was heading for the coastal enclave through the Kerem Shalom Crossing.
Regarding the swimming suits, the Israeli defence ministry said that it has been working to prevent them from entering into Gaza.
The ministry claimed that the Palestinian resistance group Hamas, which controls the Gaza Strip, would use the suits for its military frogmen.
However, Palestinian importers said that the Israeli occupation does not want to let the Palestinians enjoy the sea during the summer season.
Last week, an Israeli occupation navy official claimed that Hamas was increasingly turning to the sea as a potential path for attacks against Israeli civilians and military personnel.
Gaza traders stressed that the Israeli occupation has been working to cause suffering for the Palestinian, using many different ways.
