The murder of the Palestinian took place near Al-Asbat Gate of Al-Aqsa Mosque located in the Old City in the occupied Jerusalem.

“Suddenly, we heard sound of live bullets and when we turned towards the source of the sound, we saw the Palestinian man lying on the ground,” an eyewitness said.
Spokeswoman of the Israeli police Luba al-Samri claimed that the Palestinian had a screwdriver and attempted to stab Israeli people with it.
