Days of Palestine, West Bank -Israeli occupation forces have killed the second Palestinian civilian in occupied West Bank since Friday morning.
Eyewitnesses said that the Israeli occupation forces shot dead a Palestinian woman near Al-Ibrahimi Mosque in the Old City of the southern occupied West Bank district of Al-Khalil.
While the Israeli police claimed she attempted to stab an Israeli soldier at a security checkpoint in the area, the eyewitnesses reiterated to Days of Palestine that she did not.
The Israeli police showed a knife at the scene, claiming it was held by the woman before she was shot dead. However, one of the witnesses stressed that one of the Israeli soldiers planted the knife near the woman, who was identified as 27-year-old Sara Hajaj from the village of Bani Naim in Al-Khalil.
Since the start of the ongoing Intifada in October last year, more than 220 Palestinians have been killed by the Israeli occupation. The Intifada was erupted as a response to the daily Israeli violations against the Palestinians, their properties and their holy sites.
In a separate incident, an unidentified 50-year-old Palestinian man died at Qalandia Checkpoint near the city of Jerusalem where the Israeli occupation forces blocked hundreds of Palestinians heading to perform last Friday Prayer at Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Medical sources said that more than 40 other Palestinians were wounded as the Israeli occupation forces fired tear gas heavily at the blocked Palestinians.
