After the announcement Moshe Yaalon his resignation as the Israeli defence minister, Netanyahu announced that this portfolio was given to Avigdor Lieberman, the head of the right-wing Israeli party.
Avigdor Lieberman, who has previously served as foreign minister between for two times, has several times delivered racial and anti-Arab remarks.

Meanwhile, Netanyahu also chose the extremist chief settler Yehuda Glick, who insists to desecrate Al-Aqsa Mosque as much as possible and cause tension with the Palestinians, to replace Yaalon in the Knesset.
