Days of Palestine, West Bank -Tens of illegal Israeli settlers gathered Friday around the house of Palestinian, who filmed Israeli soldier executing wounded Palestinian in Al-Khalil.
The Palestinian activist Emad abu-Shamsiyeh, who sent the video of the execution to the Israeli human rights group B’Tselem, said that he does not feel safe after the settlers’ threats.
“Now, my life is in danger and I am afraid that my life and the life of my own family will be targeted by the extremist settlers,” he said. “The settlers may kill me or any of my family members as a kind of revenge.”
He pointed out that he might face the same fate as Dawabshah family, who houses were burnt by the extremist Israeli settlers and a father, mother and infant were killed in one of the arson attacks.
On Thursday morning, Israeli occupation forces opened fire at the Palestinians Ramzi al-Qasrawi and Abdul-Fattah al-Sharif in the middle of Tel-Rumeida Neighbourhood in Al-Khalil’s Old City.
The two Palestinians were initially wounded and remained bleeding to death. Then, an Israeli soldier shot Al-Sharif in the head at a point-blank range while he was bleeding and lying motionless on the ground.
Abu-Shamsiyeh recorded the execution scene with his personal camera and sent it to B’Tselem, which published it and caused an international outcry regarding it. This footage highlighted the Israeli extrajudicial killings of Palestinians, where Israeli killers go feel safe due to going unpunished.
