Series of internal blasts hit Gaza Strip

Days of Palestine -

Days of Palestine, Gaza Strip –A series of coordinated blasts targeted on Friday at dawn several homes of Fatah leaders in Gaza Strip.

Fatah leaders woke up on the sounds of blasts that rocked outside doors of their house. A number of the blasts targeted car parks belonged to those leaders.

After scanning the names of the targeted Fatah leaders, it became very clear that all of them affiliated to Fatah division supported by the Palestinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas.

Palestinian security sources initiated investigations, but expected the blasts were part of the internal Fatah’s conflict –between followers of sacked Fatah leader Mohamed Dahlan and followers of Mahmoud Abbas.

“They are likely part of the internal conflict between Dahlan and Abbas’ followers,” a security source spoke Days of Palestine on condition of anonymity said.

It is worth mentioning that the blast came just 12 hours after severe clashes erupted between Dahlan and Abbas’ flowers in Al-Azhar University in Gaza City.
