Days of Palestine, West Bank –Israeli occupation forces wounded on Friday eight Palestinians near Qalandia Checkpoint in the occupied West Bank.
Witnesses said that the Israeli occupation fired live bullets and metal-coated-with-rubber bullets at Palestinian demonstrators following the Friday prayer in the city of Qalandia.
Medical sources said that eight civilians arrived the Palestinian hospitals and clinic centres shot with live bullets and they sustained light to moderate injuries.
According to the medical sources, tens arrived to the hospitals suffering light wounds caused by the metal bullets, which the Israeli occupation calls them rubber bullets. The also said that dozens suffered because of firing tear gas canisters, but they received field treatment.
Israeli occupation set up hundreds of mobile military checkpoint on the road between Ramallah and Jerusalem.
This measure was part of the Israeli plan to face the Palestinian ‘Day of Rage’ announced to take place across the West Bank to protest against continuous Israeli desecration of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the attempt to close it in the face of Palestinian worshipers.
Night arrests
Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation forces stormed late on Thursday the Palestinian village of Silwan in the occupied city of Jerusalem and arrested nine Palestinian citizens from homes.
At the same time, they stormed the Palestinian neighbourhood of Wadi Al-Joz in the Old City of Jerusalem and arrested one Palestinian, also from his home.
Families of the Palestinians arrested in Jerusalem said that they have not known anything about the whereabouts of their sons yet.
