Days of Palestine, Cairo –At least three Egyptian troops died when a tunnel on borders with Gaza Strip collapsed on Saturday, Egyptian military official said.
The bodies of two soldier and one officer were recovered by rescuers and they are still looking for a forth body in the scene. A fifth soldier was wounded in the same incident.
Egyptian military has been sealing hundreds of tunnels connecting the Gaza Strip with Egypt. Tunnels used to smuggle basic needs for the Gaza residents, who have been under strict Israeli, backed internationally, siege since 2006.
After the military coup on the first ever elected Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi in uly last year, the de facto Egyptian regime has been accusing Palestinians from Gaza of causing unrest in Egypt. The regime accused them of carrying out several attacks in Sinai Peninsula.
However, the Egyptians have never found any proof supporting their narrative about the involvement of Palestinians in the unrest in Egypt.

Observers insisted that the Egyptian operation against the tunnels with the Gaza Strip is highly connected with the Israeli attempt to tighten the siege on the Gaza Strip.
