Days of Palestine, West Bank –Illegal Israeli settlers vandalised and burnt on Tuesday at dawn a Mosque near the West Bank city of Nablus.
Witnesses told Days of Palestine the spraypainted graffiti on the walls of the Mosque showed that signature of the extremist group of Israeli settlers called ‘Price Tag.’
The mosque is located in the village of Aqraba, which is very close to the Palestinian city of Nablus in the occupied West Bank.
According to the witnesses, all the rugs inside the mosque and copies of the Holy Qur’an and Islamic books were burnt. Walls and other furniture were also damaged.
Another phrase spraypainted on the walls of the mosque read “Tapuah is Kahane,” a reference to the illegal Israeli Kfar Tapuach settlement and to Meir Kahane, the late ultra-orthodox and extremist Israeli rabbi and politician.
Initial investigations showed that the vandals broke a window on the mosque to throw flammable materials inside, resulting in the damage to rugs and books.
The Israeli police said it opened an investigation into the incident.
Meanwhile, the words “do not hire Arabs” were found graffitied at a construction site in central Jerusalem. Some construction projects in the Palestinian occupied city employ Palestinian workers.
“Price tag” refers to vandalism and other hate crimes carried out by Jewish ultra-orthodox. Mosques, churches Muslim and Christian cemeteries, cars, houses, farms and other facilities have been targeted by those hate criminals.
Israeli authorities failed to complete an investigation or arrest any of the Jewish haters involved in the attacks. Observers said this pushes them to keep on carrying their attacks.
