Days of Palestine, Jerusalem –Israeli security cabinet decided to break the truce when it got confirmed information about Hamas military leader.
Well informed Israeli source revealed to Days of Palestine that the Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu, his defence minister and chief of staff met on Monday night not to discuss the latest about a ceasefire deal, but to discuss how to breach the truce.
The source said that the Israeli intelligence services informed Netanyahu that they had confirmed information about the place where military mastermind of Hamas Mohamed Deif was hiding.
This news confirms what Hamas previously said about the Israeli claim that three rockets were launched from the Gaza Strip and that was a violation of the truce. Hamas said not rockets were launched from Gaza and that was only an Israeli excuse to resume war on civilians.
Previously, Netanyahu said that Hamas lost the battle on the ground and pledged not to let it achieve a political victory. Thus, he immediately decided to assassinate Deif with any price in order to end his war on Gaza with a kind of victory.
Israeli analysts did not rule out such a step; especially as Netanyahu’s political future is at stake after his failure in the war. Many Israeli officials called for starting investigations into his failure.
