Days of Palestine, Cairo –Ceasefire indirect talks between the Palestinian and the Israeli delegations have just resumed.
Sources told Days of Palestine that the talks are being conducted on the bases of the Egyptian 11-point proposal. The proposal includes calls for a long-term ceasefire after Monday midnight.
According to the sources, the issues of the seaport and airport, as well as the discussion on the bodies of the two Israeli soldiers to be postponed for a month later.
Head of Palestinian delegation Azzam al-Ahmad said that he is hopeful to reach a ceasefire deal within hours.
Hamas spokesmen said during the day that the main demand to be met in any prospective deal must be complete end of the eight-year old strict Israeli siege on Gaza.
The European Union asserted on the achievement of this demand. It said a durable ceasefire must be accompanied by lifting closures on Gaza.
Israeli occupation refuses this demand claiming that Palestinian fighters use construction material to build tunnels.
