Days of Palestine, Cairo –Palestinian and Israeli negotiators sit down for a second day of indirect talks aimed at finding a durable end to the five-week massive Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.
Palestinian official said that while Monday’s talks were “difficult and gruelling,” today’s meetings are “the most important.”
He said that they are discussing core issues such as strict Israeli eight-year blockade of Gaza, which the Palestinians want to be ended.
Senior Israeli official told AFP that there had been no progress so far. He said that there is still a long way to go to reach an agreement to end the ongoing disputes.
“The gaps are still very wide,” AFP reported the Israeli official saying.
