Days of Palestine, Gaza –Deputy Palestinian Education Minsiter Anwar al-Bar’awi said on Monday that the Israeli occupation targeted 141 schools during the fierce war on Gaza.
In a statement, Al-Bar’awi said that 22 schools were completely destroyed and 119 were partially.

About ¼ of those partially targeted need much renovation work to be ready for the coming school year, which should start three week later.
Moreover, he said that 25 schools are being used as shelters for thousands of people displaced because of the destruction of their houses.
He also said that the estimated funds needed for the renovation works worth at least $10millions.
About the human casualties resulted by the Israeli war, Al-Bar’awi said: “More than 650 students were among the casualties, including 19 teachers, who were killed, among them.”
