For the third time since the beginning of the massive Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, the Israeli occupation army targeted a UN school with thousands of displaced civilians taking shelter in. Palestinian medical sources said that ten were killed and more than 30 wounded.
The occupation army targeted UN facilities more than ten times, including a vehicle with the UN sign and flag, where a doctor and drive were killed.
On Twitter, UNRWA Spokesman Chris Gunness condemned the attack. He also mourned the nine UNRWA staff members, who were killed by the Israeli occupation during the war. “UNRWA mourns the death of 9th staff member killed since hostilities began in Gaza,” he tweeted.
The UN Commissioner-General Pierre Krahenbuhl expressed shock and disbelief regarding the school attack. In the CBS’s ‘Face the Nation,’ he indicated that the Israeli occupaiton is endangering lives with its actions in the Gaza Strip.
“This is, of course, another incident that generates both shock and disbelief at the fact that it could happen again,” he said.
Previously, the Israeli occupation attacked two UN schools in the south of the Gaza Strip and killed 33 civilians in both attacks and wounded around 150. Israeli occupation claimed there were militants firing rockets there, but they produced no concrete proof about their claims.
