Hamas Movement today, Friday, welcomed the results of the vote in the United Nations General Assembly on a resolution supporting the right of Palestinian people to self-determination, which won the overwhelming majority that supported Palestinians right to establish their independent state.
“We commend the positions of the countries that voted in favor of our Palestinian people, and we promise that this vote represents a victory for our people’s just cause and a failure for the state of the Zionist entity,” Hamas said in a statement.

The United Nations General Assembly in New York voted by majority on a resolution supporting the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination.
The Palestinian mission to the United Nations said in a statement, Thursday evening, that the resolution was adopted by a majority of 168 countries that voted in favor of the resolution, and (5) countries opposed it: Israel, the Marshall Islands, Micronesia, the United States, and Palau, and 10 countries abstained.
Hamas stressed that this resolution reaffirms the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination, including the right to have their independent state of Palestine, and urges all countries, and organizations of the United Nations system to continue to support and assist the Palestinian people to achieve their right to self-determination as soon as possible.
