Days of Palestine – Occupied West Bank
Today, in the early hours of the morning, the Israeli occupation forces launched a massive arrest campaign against Hamas leader Sheikh Hassan Yousef and other ex-prisoners, coinciding with its threat to the movement’s leader, Hussein Abu Kweik.

The sources reported that the Israeli occupation forces arrested Sheikh Youssef (63 years), from his home in the town of Beitunia, west of Ramallah, after storming the town with large forces.
The Israeli occupation forces also arrested two brothers, Omar and Ahmed Ghazi, after raiding their house in the town of Jama’in, south of Nablus.
It also arrested the ex-prisoner, Baraa Assi, after storming his family’s home in the town of Qarawat Bani Hassan, northwest of Salfit.
In Hebron, the Israeli occupation forces arrested the young men Anas Jawabra, Ghassan Jawabra and Muayyad Al-Sharbi, after storming their homes in Al-Aroub camp, north of the city, and the young man, Muhammad Younis Al-Masalma, from his home in Dura.
Simultaneously, the ex-prisoner Rami Al-Fakhouri and his wife were arrested after storming their house near Bab Hatta in occupied Jerusalem.
It is noteworthy that the Israeli occupation forces last released the leader, Hassan Youssef, on July 8, after administrative detention that lasted 9 months. They arrested him on October 2, 2020, after raiding his house in Beitunia.
The Director of the Prisoners Information Office, Nahed Al-Fakhouri, said that the daily arrest campaigns launched by the Israeli occupation forces express the failed and tyrannical mentality of the occupation and evidence of bankruptcy and incapacity.
“The latest arrest campaigns at dawn today affected dozens of liberated prisoners in the West Bank, including Hamas leader Sheikh Hassan Youssef,” He added.
He stressed that these arrests will not dissuade our Palestinian people and will not weaken their resolve and determination to continue the path of resistance and steadfastness until the occupation is defeated.
