DaysofPal- The Government Media Office (GMO) in Gaza reports that over one million Palestinians, including more than 350,000 children, remain in Gaza City and the northern governorates, defying Israeli orders of forced displacement.
Despite ongoing Israeli ground bombing operations, these civilians have chosen to stay, citing fears of permanent displacement and the dire conditions in southern Gaza.
The Israeli forces have intensified their offensive in northern Gaza, targeting high buildings and homes of families.
The Israeli forces keep issuing full evacuation threats to the population of Gaza City, urging residents to evacuate to the southern regions, such as al-Mawasi.
However, logistical challenges, financial constraints, and overcrowded conditions in the south have deterred many from leaving.
The United Nations estimates that only about 15,000 individuals have managed to relocate, far fewer than the 250,000 according to Israeli claims.
Humanitarian organizations have expressed grave concerns about the forced displacement, describing it as a violation of international law.
Amnesty International has documented how the Israeli atrocities in Gaza, including the use of starvation as a weapon and the destruction of civilian infrastructure, constitute acts of genocide.
The international community remains divided on the issue, with some governments condemning the Israeli crimes and others calling for allowing food and aid into Gaza.
The situation in Gaza continues to deteriorate, with over 64,000 Palestinians reported killed since the outbreak of Israeli genocide in October 2023.
As the Israeli war persists, the plight of the Palestinian civilians in northern Gaza remains dire, with no clear resolution in sight.
