DayofPal– More than 70 Palestinian civilians were killed in two massacres committed by the Israeli army when airstrikes targeted residential buildings in Beit Lahia, in the northern Gaza Strip, according medical sources.
Local sources reported that a home belonging to the family of Ahmed in the Beit Lahiya project area was targeted last night by violent Israeli airstike that killed all those inside. There are estimations that the house was sheltering a large number of displaced people reached 50 members.
Eyewitnesses reported that another residential building belonging to Baba family that houses more than 20 civilians was targeted and all those inside were killed on Friday.
Dr. Munir Al-Bursh, Director General of the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, told Al Jazeera that Israel is testing new weapons on people and dropping bombs with terrifying sounds. He also revealed that such bombs vaporize persons when they come close within 200-300 meters of them.
He added that medical staff of the ministry don’t know exact and accurate information about the massacres happening in northern Gaza because the Israeli army blocks ambulances and civil defense teams.
“The Israeli army is bombing residential areas, which lead to the killing of all inhabitants inside, and we find out about them after a day or two,” he added.
He described that “Such weapons, when dropped on residential buildings, turn them into small pieces and rubble,” further calling for international investigative committee into the massacres.
According to the spokesperson for Civil Defense, dozens of casualties are trapped under the rubble, and rescue teams are unable to reach them or recover their bodies due to the relentless Israeli attacks.
