DaysofPal- One Palestinian was killed and four others injured on Monday morning after Israeli occupation forces opened fire on two vehicles, including one belonging to the World Health Organization, in the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis.
Local sources reported that Israeli forces targeted a World Health Organization vehicle and a commercial vehicle near Street 5 in the city. The shooting resulted in the death of Majdi Mustafa Aslan, 54, a resident of the Bureij refugee camp, and left four others wounded.
According to the same sources, gunfire struck the World Health Organization vehicle, injuring the driver in the head along with another staff member, both of whom were transported to Nasser Hospital for treatment.
An injured passenger from the second incident said Israeli forces also fired on a small commercial bus belonging to a private company, causing three minor injuries near Salah al-Din Street.
The incident is part of continued violations of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, in effect since October 2025. Israeli occupation forces have carried out repeated artillery and air strikes, along with gunfire from military vehicles and naval units, in addition to demolitions of buildings and infrastructure across the territory.
According to Palestinian health authorities, these violations have resulted in 723 deaths and nearly 2,000 injuries since the ceasefire began, with hundreds of bodies later recovered from affected areas.
Since the start of the genocide in October 2023, the overall death toll has risen to 72,302, with more than 172,000 people injured.
