New York Times news agency has dismissed on Wednesday, October 4, 2022, the Palestinian photojournalist Husam Salem based on a report by an Israeli website, according to official sources
Husam Salem was described as “anti-Semitic” for publishing pro-Palestinian content on social media.
After so many years working day and night covering Gaza news for The New York Times, Husam had a phone call, informing him that he is no longer a member of the American agency.
Husam started working for The New York Times in 2018 as he was covering the mass Palestinian protests “The Great Return Marches” along Gaza borders.
The Palestinian photojournalist is an awarded-winning freelance and reporter now based in Istanbul. His work has featured in Al Jazeera English and The New York Times news agencies.
