DayofPal—Israeli war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu has once again voiced opposition to the official logo of the newly formed Gaza Administration Committee, objecting to the inclusion of the word “national,” according to reports in the Israeli daily Maariv.
During a recent meeting of Israel’s Security Cabinet, Netanyahu reportedly described the committee’s branding as “unacceptable,” reiterating earlier concerns that the terminology carries political implications.
He had previously rejected an earlier version of the logo, arguing that its design too closely resembled the emblem associated with the Palestinian Authority.
Although the committee revised the logo earlier this month in response to Israeli objections, the amended version was also dismissed.
Netanyahu reaffirmed Israel’s opposition to any reference suggesting national status for the body, signaling continued resistance to symbolic elements that could imply broader political recognition.
The Gaza Administration Committee, formally known as the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza, was established in January 2026 under United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803.
The body forms part of a 20-point US-backed peace initiative proposed by former US President Donald Trump.
Designed as a temporary technocratic authority, the committee is tasked with overseeing civil governance in Gaza during a post-war transitional phase.
Its responsibilities include coordinating reconstruction, restoring public services, and facilitating humanitarian aid delivery, while operating independently of existing factional political structures.
