Mahajat al-Quds for Martyrs and Prisoners reported that the prisoner Khalil Muhammad Khalil Awawda suffers from a serious decline in his health conditions after his hunger strike, which lasted for 111 days, in protest of his unlawful administrative detention.
Mahajat al-Quds clarified in a statement today that despite Awawda’s deterioration of health, the Israeli occupation authorities transferred him yesterday from Assaf Harofeh Hospital to Ramle Clinic Prison.
Mahajat Al-Quds holds the occupation authorities fully responsible for the life of the prisoner Khalil Awawda and calls on the International Committee of the Red Cross to urgently send a specialized medical team to provide him with the medical intervention he needs and pressure the occupation authorities to release him to receive the necessary treatment outside captivity.
Awawda was promised to be released last month on the 26th of June, after his first 111 consecutive days of hunger strike in protest of his administrative detention only to get his sentence renewed for four extra months
