DaysofPal – Hamas leader abroad Khaled Meshaal said Tuesday that relief for Gaza is essential to push forward into the second phase of the agreement to end the war, stressing that the real threat comes from the Israeli occupation, not from Gaza.
He warned that disarming Palestinians means stripping them of their very soul.
Meshaal said Gaza’s governance must remain entirely Palestinian, with decisions made “by Palestinians alone.” He added that the movement is working relentlessly to secure humanitarian relief by all possible means.
Meshaal emphasized that Gaza has “given everything,” and that it is time for the devastated enclave to recover, rebuild, and regain its ability to live, saying the people of Gaza “are no longer required to fire again,” but need support to rise from the ruins.
His comments come as the Israeli occupation continues its US-European backed genocide in Gaza since 7 October 2023, marked by mass killing, starvation, destruction, displacement, and widespread arrests, in defiance of international appeals and the orders of the International Court of Justice.
