London Real Estate Event Sparks Outcry Over Sales of Palestinian Properties

DayofPal—A real estate exhibition reportedly held in London on Sunday has triggered strong political backlash after being accused of marketing properties located in occupied Palestinian territories.

The event, described by organizers as the “Great Israeli Property Exhibition 2026,” was held at a secret location with attendance restricted to invited guests and registered participants.

It showcased residential projects and investment opportunities in cities including Jerusalem, Haifa, and Ashdod, as well as developments in West Bank settlements such as Gush Etzion and areas in the Hebron hills.

According to promotional materials cited, the exhibition also offered services related to mortgages, taxation, property transfers, and other settlement-related administrative matters.

The event was reportedly organized by “My Home in Israel,” a company led by Gidon Katz, which has conducted similar international tours for approximately two decades.

The exhibition has drawn accusations from activists and some political figures that it contributes to the normalization and commercialization of land in occupied territories.

Critics argue that marketing properties in settlements violates international law and effectively promotes the expansion of Israeli settlements on Palestinian land.

Companies allegedly involved in settlement construction and marketing include Harey Zahav, Africa Israel Residences, Tivuch Shelly, and the Meshulam Levinstein Group.

Similar exhibitions have previously been held in cities such as New York, Los Angeles, Toronto, Montreal, and locations in Australia.

The event has also sparked political concern in the United Kingdom. Reports indicate that more than 130 members of the Labour Party, along with around 100 Members of Parliament and members of the House of Lords, signed letters warning that the exhibition could implicate the UK in supporting activities described as potential violations of international law or “war crimes.”

Nearly 100 UK MPs and peers called for the cancellation of a London event promoting the sale of land in Israeli settlements, warning it could implicate the UK in potential international war crimes.

MP Andy McDonald urged the UK government to stop the event from taking place, arguing that it would conflict with international law obligations regarding the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territory. The signatories say all Israeli settlements in occupied areas are illegal under international law.
