The Palestinian-run Jerusalem Governorate warned on Monday, 9 September 2024 that Al-Aqsa Mosque is in danger, and the world must intervene before it’s too late.
It added that Violations by the Israeli occupation authority and its settlers in Jerusalem and at the Sacred Mosque are a precursor to the spatial division of the mosque.
The governorate noted that the Israeli occupation is tightening its grip on the Noble Sanctuary of Al-Aqsa and preventing access to Muslim worshippers while providing full cover for illegal settlers to perform Talmudic rituals at the Islamic site.
“These practices are a prelude to imposing a new reality on the ground, paving the way for the spatial division of Al-Aqsa Mosque and Compound.” the governorate warned.
“The claims of some Israeli leaders asserting that the Israeli occupation is committed to the historical and legal status of Al-Aqsa are nothing but lies and a smokescreen.” The governorate pointed out calling upon the entire world to “be aware of the true intentions of the far-right Israeli government regarding our holy sites, especially Al-Aqsa.”
