DaysofPal- The Palestinian Civil Defense Authority has revealed that a significant number of victims’ bodies have been fully or partially vaporized due to incineration caused by the massive explosives used by the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) in the targeted areas.
These Israeli attacks have resulted in “horrific massacres against both the living and the dead.”
According to the Civil Defense report, 7,820 bodies were fully or partially vaporized at Israeli bombing sites in Gaza, accounting for 10% of the total victims of the Israeli genocide since October 7th, 2023.
The report highlighted that in 10% of Israeli airstrikes, victims’ bodies were either entirely obliterated or reduced to fragments so minimal that they could not be retrieved.
It further explained that those near the targeted sites were vaporized, while others were killed by the force of the explosions or by the collapse of buildings resulting from the blasts.
Calls for International Investigation
Recent days have seen growing demands for an urgent international investigation into the use of internationally banned weapons by IOF.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza has reported that Israel is deploying such weapons in its intensified military operations in northern Gaza.
Dr. Munir Al-Bursh, Director General of the Ministry of Health in Gaza, stated:
“The IOF is using unidentified weapons in the north… causing bodies to vaporize.”
The use of these unidentified weapons has raised serious concerns about violations of international humanitarian law and the targeting of civilians with unprecedented force.
Due to the inability of ambulances to reach victims in northern Gaza, the Ministry of Health has been unable to confirm or identify the types of weapons used.
However, Dr. Munir Al-Bursh, Director General of the Ministry of Health, reported alarming observations from Beit Lahia.
Al-Bursh stated that the IOF appears to be using weapons containing liquid substances, potentially dropped from the air, which creates a deafening sound upon impact. These substances reportedly cause houses and bodies to melt, leaving buildings crumbling like “pieces of biscuit,” as he described.
Dr. Al-Bursh urgently called on the international community to dispatch specialized investigative committees to Gaza. These teams should investigate Israel’s alleged use of weapons that have caused entire residential blocks in Beit Lahia to vanish.
Videos circulating on social media, shared by activists and eyewitnesses in Gaza, show dense smoke altering and disfiguring the appearance of bodies following airstrikes.
Activists say these attacks originate from Israeli aircraft deploying unidentified substances.
The Hamas Movement has also demanded the formation of an international commission to investigate the Israeli military’s use of prohibited weapons in northern Gaza.
This joint call for accountability comes amid increasing evidence suggesting the use of unconventional and internationally banned weaponry in the ongoing military campaign, resulting in catastrophic humanitarian consequences.
In its statement, Hamas highlighted “horrific testimonies” from civilians and medical professionals in northern Gaza following airstrikes and massacres targeting innocent civilians. The group cited confirmed reports of weapons and munitions causing bodies to vaporize, strongly suggesting the use of internationally banned weaponry during Israel’s brutal genocide campaign.
This coincides with a statement from UN Secretary-General António Guterres on Monday, describing the situation in Gaza as “horrific and catastrophic.”
Guterres warned that the conditions endured by Palestinians in Gaza may constitute “the gravest international crimes.”
Mass Casualties and Widespread Devastation
Since October 7, 2023, with U.S. support, Israel has waged a genocidal war in Gaza, resulting in over 155,000 Palestinian casualties, including dead and injured, most of whom are children and women. Additionally, more than 11,000 people remain missing amid large-scale destruction and famine that has claimed the lives of numerous children and elderly individuals. The situation ranks among the worst humanitarian disasters in modern history.
Despite this humanitarian catastrophe, Israel continues its massacres, disregarding two arrest warrants issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) on November 21.
The warrants target Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for their involvement in war crimes and crimes against humanity against Palestinians in Gaza.
The international community faces increasing pressure to intervene and hold Israel accountable for alleged violations of international law, as the humanitarian crisis in Gaza reaches unprecedented levels.
