DaysofPal – Israeli warplanes launched several pre-dawn strikes across eastern Gaza on Thursday, a day after five Palestinians were killed, one of them later dying from wounds suffered in a previous attack in yet another ceasefire violation.
Local sources said Israeli helicopters unleashed heavy fire toward the city of Rafah in southern Gaza, while additional airstrikes targeted areas in Rafah and eastern Khan Younis.
Israeli forces also demolished multiple residential buildings east of Khan Younis during overnight operations.Shortly after midnight, at least five airstrikes were launched on eastern Gaza City.
On Wednesday, four Palestinians were killed and others wounded in Israeli attacks on eastern Khan Younis, central Gaza, and the north of the enclave.
Hours earlier, another man died from injuries sustained in a previous Israeli strike. Throughout the day, Israeli aircraft bombed Rafah as artillery shelling persisted along the eastern perimeter.
Since the ceasefire agreement came into effect on October 10 last year, Israeli forces have carried out hundreds of violations, resulting in the deaths of 350 Palestinians, including 130 children and 54 women, and wounding 889 others.
The deal put an end to Israel’s two-year genocidal war that began on October 7, 2013, killing up to 70,000 people, injuring some 171,000 more, and destroying 90% of the Gaza Strip’s civilian infrastructure.
