Israeli occupation forces arrested Thursday, 27 April 2023 five Palestinians from separate areas in the occupied West Bank after raiding and searching their homes.
In Ramallah, Israeli occupation forces raided the home of the Palestinian man Riyad Khalifa and kidnapped him after they ransacked the house’s contents and searched it in the town of Kafr Nima.
In Jenin, Israeli forces arrested the two Palestinain brothers Hani and Ahmed Atta Abu Rumaila along with the Palestinian youth Osama Zaid Salahat while they were passing an Israeli military checkpoint near the village of Zibda, southwest of the city.
In Jerusalem, Israeli troopers detained the Palestinian man Moataz Odeh from the Lions Gate, one of the Al-Aqsa mosque gates, citing violating his banishment decision from the Al-Aqsa Mosque as a pretext. They also kidnapped the Palestinian youth Adnan Al-Rajabi from the old city of occupied Jerusalem.
Israeli forces have been carrying out near-daily military raids and violations against Palestinians in recent months.
During the first quarter of 2023, Israeli occupation forces arrested about 1,600 Palestinians, bringing the number of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails to about 5,000 according to human rights institutions concerned with the affairs of Palestinian detainees.
