Days of Palestine – Jerusalem
A group of Israeli settlers attacked Sunday the residents of the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in both its eastern and western parts, which were threatened with forced displacement in occupied Jerusalem.
Local sources said that there was an attack on several homes, including the home of the Attia family, and the cars of Palestinian citizens were smashed by groups of settlers who stormed the neighborhood.
The settlers also attacked the al-Sumoud camp in Sheikh Jarrah, then moved to the western neighborhood, where the Salem family resides, which was and is still threatened with forced displacement.
Amin Burqan, a resident of the neighborhood, stated that the occupation forces stormed the Al-Sumoud refugee camp in the neighborhood, in conjunction with an attack by settlers, where citizens’ vehicles were smashed, their homes stormed, stones were thrown at them, and live bullets were fired at them.
The Palestinian Red Crescent says that its teams dealt with more than 60 injuries in the city of Jerusalem, including injuries with live bullets, sound bombs, and rubber bullets.
The Palestinian Prisoners Club also confirmed today that more than 50 detainees, including women and children, have been arrested.
In recent days, the occupation forces announced a precautionary arrest campaign before the Israeli flags march, where more than 100 Palestinian youths from Jerusalem were arrested.
The occupied city of Jerusalem is witnessing a state of boiling as a result of the settlers’ attacks, who organized violent and arrogant rallies in the city’s neighborhoods.
