The neighbours have been shocked by settlers’ noisy sounds while breaking the house doors and replacing them. They also installed security iron bars for the windows.
The Palestinian residents told the owners, the Idris family, about the settlers’ raid, so they rushed to the place and verbally quarrelled with the settlers and the occupation forces.
Mohammad Salih Idris stressed that they have been the owners of the house since 1979, and they have the documents proving ownership of the house in which his mother and sister currently live.
The Israeli settlers took advantage of his mother’s hospitalization for about 10 days, so dozens of them stormed the house while nobody was inside, said Idris.
He pointed out that the family managed to kick the settlers out of their homes after proving their ownership of the house.
There’s been a dramatic rise in violence carried out by extremist Israeli settlers against Palestinian civilians in the occupied West Bank this year, with more than 100 incidents reported a month, according to the UN.
According to the Colonization & Wall Resistance Commission CWRC, in July 2023, Israeli occupation forces and settlers committed a total of 897 attacks against the Palestinian people, their properties, and their holy sites.
