In the Old City of Jerusalem, dozens of Israeli settlers have gathered at the Western Wall, known to Muslims as the Buraq Wall, to perform Talmudic rituals in celebration of the Jewish holiday “Simchat Torah.” This event was captured in a video that appeared online, showing the settlers at the holy site.
The Buraq Wall is located adjacent to the Al-Aqsa Mosque, a site where Israeli settlers have frequently conducted Talmudic rituals in recent months, often under the protection of armed security forces. The situation has been further inflamed by Israeli far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, who has repeatedly entered the mosque compound since the onset of the Gaza conflict. His actions are seen as attempts to undermine ceasefire efforts and challenge the status quo at this highly sensitive religious site.
