Israeli Settlers shot and killed on Wednesday, 21 June 2023 a Palestinian youth in the occupied West Bank town of Turmusaya, northeast of Ramallah.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health stated that the 27 years old Palestinian youth Omar Katin was killed during a colonial settlers’ rampage against Turmusaya town.
Some 400 Israeli settlers invaded Turmusaya town and attacked the Palestinian residents and their properties, causing damage to their belongings.
At least 12 Palestinians have been injured with live ammunition including critical injuries, according to Palestinian medical sources.
Palestinian media said some 30 homes and 60 cars were torched during the rampage by the Israeli settlers.
Israeli settlers physically assaulted Palestinians during the attack as well as set fire to homes and vehicles, sprayed pepper spray, and damaged cars, homes, and shops, sources added.
Tensions have escalated between Palestinians and Israeli colonial settlers amid intensified Israeli deadly military raids in occupied Palestinian territories.
Palestinian officials said this was the deadliest start to a year there since 2000. More than 164 Palestinians have been killed since the start of 2023 across the occupied Palestinian lands.
