A group of Israeli settlers destroyed a memorial board dedicated to the Palestinian martyr Ziyad Abu Ain in Turmus’ayyeh town, near Ramallah, on Monday, May 15, 2023.
Palestinian local sources reported that Israeli settlers from the Shello settlement infiltrated the area of the memorial and destroyed it. The sources also pointed out that settlers had previously demolished a memorial for martyr Ziyad.
The sources added that Israeli settlers attacked several properties owned by Palestinian families and uprooted eight olive trees in Ramallah’s town of Turmus’ayyeh.
According to Palestinian figures, Israeli occupation forces and settlers carried out 442 attacks against Palestinians and their properties in April 2023.
A recent report by the UN revealed that Israeli settlers injured 1,222 Palestinians from 2012 to 2022 after carrying out 3,372 violent incidents.
