Israeli settlers attacked on Saturday, July 15, 2023, the village of Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, and injured 12 Palestinian citizens.
Coordinator of the Popular Committees to Resist the Wall and Settlements in South Hebron, Ratib al-Jabour, stated that settlers attacked and beat Palestinian citizens and shepherds in the “Tha’ala Dam” area.
One of them attempted to run over a flock of sheep belonging to a member of the Makhmara family.
He added that young men confronted the Israeli settlers and expelled them from the area before the occupation forces intervened to protect the settlers and closed off the area to citizens.
He further pointed out that settlers also attacked a number of Palestinian citizens in the “Tuwwaneh” area, beating them and causing injuries, including 55-year-old citizen Mufid Ahmad Rabai, who was subsequently transferred to the hospital.
In a related context, Israeli forces stormed the villages of Tuwwaneh and Al-Mufaqarah, assaulting the Palestinian citizens, searching their homes, and tampering with their belongings.
According to the Red Crescent, the Israeli settlers injured 12 Palestinians in the Al-Mufaqarah and Tuwwaneh areas of Masafar Yatta.
