Thousands of Palestinian worshippers gathered July 14, 2023 for Friday prayers at the Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, despite heightened security measures imposed by Israeli occupation forces at the entrances of the mosque.
According to local sources, approximately 35,000 Palestinians participated in the prayer at the Aqsa Mosque.
Israeli police were stationed at checkpoints across the occupied city, limiting Palestinian access to the holy site.
Sheikh Ismail Nawahda, the preacher at the Aqsa Mosque, delivered a sermon urging an end to the rising Israeli crime rates within the Green Line.
He emphasized the resilience and determination of the Palestinian people in the face of the Israeli occupation.
