Israeli Settlers Attack Palestinian Homes in Occupied West Bank

Colonial Israeli settlers attacked Sunday evening, 30 January 2023 Palestinain homes and burned two vehicles in the town of Jalud, south of Nablus.

A group of Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian citizens’ homes in Jalud town and burned two vehicles said, Ghassan Douglas, the Palestinain official in charge of the settlement file in the northern occupied West Bank.

He added that two young Palestinain men sustained fractures while they along with the townspeople confronted the Israeli settlers’ attack.

Moreover, another group of Israeli settlers attacked Palestinain citizens’ vehicles with stones in the town of Hawara, south of Nablus.

In a related incident, A batch of Israeli settlers invaded the village of Al-Auja, north of Jericho, ignited rubber tires near a house belonging to the Palestinian family of Hamdan, and tried to burn it.

In Ramallah, Dozens of colonial settlers invaded Turmusaya town and smashed the windows of a house belonging to Palestinain man Ahmed Kayed Abu Awwad. They also wrote racist slogans on the home walls and burned a house and a vehicle owned by a Palestinian resident.

Israeli settlers’ attacks have escalated recently against the Palestinian citizens’ own properties in the occuiped West Bank including attacking the Palestinian homes, sabotaging their cars, and blocking their roads. 

In 2022, Israeli settlers carried out more than 290 attacks on Palestinians and their own property in the occupied West Bank, 230 of which caused property damage, and 60 of them caused injuries to Palestinian residents, according to United Nations reports. 

More than 650,000 colonial settlers were distributed among 164 illegal settlements and 124 outposts built on the stolen lands of occuiped West Bank and Jerusalem. 

The West Bank and Jerusalem lands are occupied territories based on International law due to this all Israeli settlement-building activities there are illegal.
