The Palestinian Prisoners Affairs reported that large Israeli repression units stormed Thursday, August 17, 2023, Section (3) in the Negev prison, and began transfers of prisoners held there, amid a state of extreme tension.
The commission stated in a joint statement with the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club that such incursion comes after a series of incursions in the Negev prison sections, the latest of which was several days ago in Section 26.
In turn, Prisoners’ Affairs and the Prisoners’ Club held the occupation prison administration fully responsible for the fate of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli Negev prison.
According to the latest Palestinian statistics, there are about 5000 Palestinian detainees in Israeli prisons, including 160 minors, 29 women, 750 patients, and 1200 administrative detainees.
