The UN Sepcial Rapporteur, Francesca Albanese, extremely condemned Saturday the Israeli occupation offensive against the besieged Gaza Strip.
In a tweet, Albanese expressed her condemnation of Israel’s airstrikes in Gaza to allegedly ‘deter’ Islamic Jihad’s possible retaliation for its leader’s arrest.

She said that as International Law only permits the use of force in self-defense, Operation Breaking Dawn is a flagrant act of aggression.
Meanwhile, she described the Israeli aggression on the besieged Gaza Strip that it’s illegal, immoral, and irresponsible.
In the same context, the Office of the European Union Representatives in Palestine said that they are following with great concern the recent developments in Gaza, which have led to a number of casualties, including children.
The office called on all parties to restraint and to take the utmost restraint in order to avoid further escalation and casualties.
Israeli occupation forces continued Saturday to attack different areas of besieged Gaza Strip with multiple airstrikes for the second day running, killing one Palestinian and wounding four others.
The Palestinian health ministry updated that the Israeli aggression resulted so far in the death of 16 citizens, including a five-year-old girl, a 23-year-old woman and an elderly women.
125 citizens, including 23 children and 13 women, were also injured in the Israeli aggression. Four of the wounded have suffered injuries described by the health ministry as critical and serious.
