Days of Palestine – Ramallah

Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched raids and searches Wednesday, August 03, 2022 in various areas in the occupied West Bank, during which a number of Palestinian young men were kidnapped.

Local sources said that Palestinian injuries were reported during confrontations with the Israeli occupation forces in the town of Kafr Qaddoum, Qalqilya district, in the occupied West Bank.

The Prisoner Club reported that the IOF launched raids and incursions in various areas in the West Bank, during which dozens of houses were raided, their contents were tampered with, and their residents were subjected to field investigations.

In Jenin, the IOF kidnapped 3 Palestinian people, including a boy from Qabatiya and Al-Yamoun.

The occupation forces arrested the boy, Ahmed Adnan Nazzal, to pressure his brother Muhammad to surrender himself in the “Salem camp”, and Ezz Ahmad Khuzaymah after storming the town of Qabatiya, raiding and searching their families’ homes and tampering with their contents.

It also arrested the young man, Muhammad Omar Freihat, after storming Al-Yamoun, amid the outbreak of confrontations.

From Ramallah governorate, the occupation forces arrested the liberated captive Kanaan Kanaan from Kobar, the liberated prisoner Ayser Maarouf from Ein Qinya, and the liberated prisoner Abdel Razek Muhanna from Abu Shkhaydam.

The occupation forces also arrested the freed prisoner Ayoub Sabah from Urif, and Adham Aseedah from Tel Nablus district.

In the Hebron governorate, Issam Kawamleh from Al-Aroub refugee camp, Ahmed Abu Markhiya, and Rami Abu Eisha from the Old City were arrested.

While in Qalqilya governorate, 3 young men were wounded with live bullets and dozens suffocated during confrontations with the occupation army in Kafr Qaddoum after the dawn raid on the town.

Citizens reported that dozens of IOF raided the town, which led to clashes between the young men and the soldiers, as a result of which the young man Qusay Jihad was wounded in the back, Youssef Abdel-Fattah in the leg, and Malik Hikmat in the thigh. They were all taken to a hospital for treatment, where their injuries were described as moderate.

In addition, in the late hours of the night, the occupation forces set up a military checkpoint at the southern entrance to the city of Bethlehem, “Al-Nashash”.

Eyewitnesses reported that IOF stationed at the checkpoint searched the citizens’ vehicles and checked their identities, which caused a traffic jam.
