The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza stated Today, Sunday, February 19, that the Israeli occupation is still preventing the entry of medical and diagnostic devices into Gaza Strip hospitals for the 436th day.

Bassam Al-Hamdeen, Assistant Undersecretary of the Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, said in a press statement, “The continued prevention of the entry of medical devices increases the suffering of Palestinian patients who are awaiting treatment and surgical interventions.”

He continued, “International and humanitarian institutions are demaded, more than ever, to put pressure on the Israeli occupation and allow the entry of medical devices into the hospitals in Gaza.”

It’s noteworthy that the Israeli occupation has imposed a strict blockade on the Gaza Strip since 2006, as it controls all aspects of the lives of Palestinians in the Strip, including the health sector.
