Israeli occupation authorities issued stop-work orders for several Palestinian structures in the village of Yasuf, located east of Salfit City in the northern West Bank on Wednesday morning, July 19, 2023.
Wael Madi, the deputy head of Yasuf village council, stated that the Israeli occupation forces IOF delivered the orders to four residential houses and a shack situated in the eastern area known as “Al-Nasba.”
The affected properties are owned by Qais Abiya, Omar Abiya, Sari Abdul-Razzaq, and Ala’a Nasleh, and the shack is owned by Rabea Abiya, as reported by Madi.
Madi further highlighted the ongoing challenges faced by Yasuf village due to the practices of the Israeli occupation and the daily attacks by Israeli settlers.
The issuance of stop-work orders is part of a broader pattern of Israeli policies aimed at obstructing Palestinian construction and expanding Israeli control over Palestinian territories.
Such measures restrict Palestinians from building homes and developing their communities, exacerbating the already difficult living conditions they endure under occupation.
