The family of the Palestinian prisoner Sheikh Yousef Al-Baz revealed that Israeli occupation authorities hold him under horrific conditions.
Afnan Al-Baz, daughter of prisoner Al-Baz, said that his father turned himself in to serve a 16-month prison sentence.
“We have not yet received any information about his conditions in prison, but we know that he is being held in solitary confinement,” Afnan said.
She pointed out that Israeli occupation authorities banned him from family visits and even communication via phone.
Al-Baz, 64, from the city of Lod, was detained last year over claims of inciting violence on social media, referring to his posts published during the Israeli offensive on Gaza in May 2021.
Following his release, he was placed under house arrest, fitted with an electronic tag, banned from travel, instructed to pay 20,000 NIS to the court, and prohibited from using the internet.
